Welcome to the Sunday Scaries Fall Recipe Series where I highlight fall-inspired recipes that are simple, healthy, and delicious.
These buffalo wings are made in the air fryer (without oil) and are delicious even without the sauce. I served them with carrots, celery, cucumber, and ranch. They pair perfectly with a rainy football Sunday! 🍂🏈🍗
Air Fryer Buffalo Wings
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 12 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
For the chicken:
1 lb chicken wings
Salt & pepper
For the buffalo sauce (roughly):
2/3 cup Franks RedHot
1/4 cup butter of choice
1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
Sprinkle of garlic powder
Directions
Air fry chicken wings
Lightly salt and pepper the chicken wings on both sides.
Put the chicken thighs in the air fryer on 400 while you make the buffalo sauce.
Cook for 6 minutes on one side, flip, and air fry on the other side for 6 more minutes.
This is my favorite air fryer. She's an investment but she changed my life. Trust me.
Another air fryer option with amazing reviews at a lower cost.
Chicken should be tender on the inside and crisp on the outside.
Make buffalo sauce
Combine Franks hot sauce, butter, white vinegar, and garlic powder in a saucepan on the stove on medium heat.
I recommend playing with the proportions of the sauce to your taste preference. The recipes I looked up recommended more butter but I didn't feel it needed any more.
Combine
Remove chicken wings from the air fryer, enjoy plain, or slather in sauce.
Enjoy!
Enjoy this delicious fall meal or snack!
